OPEN FUNDED POSITIONS - DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATICS

This is a call for Expression of Interest for funded positions in the Department of Informatics, 黑料科 of Economics and Business (AUEB), under the supervision of Prof. Iordanis Koutsopoulos () in the following areas:
- 螒1: Modern AI and Machine Learning techniques for the Health domain
- 螒2: AI and Machine Learning algorithms for edge computing and edge analytics
- 螒3: Online and sequential learning techniques for wireless networking
- A4: Artificial Intelligence techniques for smart grid data analytics
- A5: Cybersecurity of wireless networks

The positions are:
- 1 position of postdoctoral researcher (areas A1, A2)
- 2 positions of Ph.D. students (areas A1, A2 and area A3)
- 1-2 positions of Research engineers/programmers (areas A4, A5)

Necessary qualifications for Postdoctoral Researcher positions:
- Age: up to 30 y.o.
- Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or another related field.
- Scientific publications on top scientific journals and conferences (IEEE, ACM).
- 1-2 Recommendation letters (will be requested before admittance).
- Prior experience with European/National research projects will be considered a plus.

Necessary qualifications for Ph.D. student positions:
- Age: up to 27 y.o.
- B.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science, Physics or another related field, with G.P.A > 7.0.
- M.Sc in a field related to the ones above.
- Strong knowledge in at least 2 areas out of the following: Mathematical optimization, wireless networks, Machine Learning and AI, Algorithms.
- Very good knowledge of English.
- Very good background on programming (C/C++, Python, Java) and AI tools.
- Military obligations: fulfilled or postponed up to 2026.
- 1-2 Recommendation letters (will be requested before admittance).

Necessary qualifications for Research engineer positions:
- Age: up to 24 y.o.
- B.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or another related field.
- Strong programming background and ability to learn quickly.
- 1 Recommendation letter (will be requested before admittance).
- Military obligations: fulfilled or postponed up to 2024.
