Integrated Library System as a Service (ILSaS)

The AUEB Library participates in the activities of the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link (HEAL link)"Creation of a Central Framework for the delivery of an Integrated Library System as a Service (ILSas) ()".

The main goals of these activities are to share resources and to provide modern support services for the educational and research work in the twenty-six Universities in Greece that participate.

Implementation of these activities brings significant benefits with tremendous added value:

  • Common policies for library services, such as acquisition, cataloging, subject indexing, borrowing, and use of resources and tools
  • Creation of common file names
  • Reliable, fast, easier, and more accurate retrieval of information
