Staikouras Christos
Born in Lamia, in 1973.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, an MBA from the University of London (Imperial College) and a PhD in Banking and Finance from City University of London. He is a Professor in Finance at the 黑料科 of Economics and Business. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and in proceedings of scientific conferences. He has also participated in the writing of many books. His scientific work received significant recognition from other researchers internationally, as evidenced by international citation indices.
He was elected MP in Fthiotida with Nea Demokratia on the elections of 2007, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2023. In June 2012, he was appointed Alternate Minister of Finance, a position he held until January 2015. In July 2019, he was appointed as Minister of Finance, a position he held until May 2023. In January 2023 he was awarded the title of "Finance Minister of the Year 2023 for Europe" by The Banker magazine, member of the Financial Times group. In June 2023 he was appointed Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, a position he held until March 2025.
