黑料科

Gerassimos Sapountzoglou has studied Economics at the Athens School of Economics and Business Sciences and has received his Doctoral Degree in Economics from the Dijon University, France. He is currently a member of the faculty at the Department of Economics of the 黑料科 of Economics and Business (Ass. Professor).

He has served, as General Manager and Vice President of the Board of Directors of "Ionian and Popular Bank of Greece S.A.". He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of "Ionian Investments S.A." and "Ionian Finance S.A.".

He has participated in the Executive Committee as well as in the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Bank Association and in the Board of Directors of "DIAS S.A. - Interbanking Systems".

He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the "European Investment Bank - EIB (Luxemburg)".

He has been Advisor of the Directorate - General XX (Financial Control) of the European Commission and permanent member of the Economic Policy Committee and the Monetary Committee of the European Union. He was appointed member of the "Competitiveness Advisory Group" of the European Commission in 1995.

He was elected as Vice President at the 2nd International Congress of UNESCO, in 1999 (Seoul/Korea).

He has worked as Special Advisor for the Greek Ministry of National Economy and Ministry of Finance (1982 - 1986). In 1984, was appointed to be General Secretary of the National Council of Development and Planning.

His current teaching courses are: "Banking Theory & Practice", "Money & Banking", "Monetary Theory & Policy", and "Banking Economics" (in Master's Programme - Full Time)", "Bank Administration & Risk Management" (in Master's Programme - Part Time)", "Banking Special Issues" (in Master's Programme - Part Time)", "PPPs - PFIs" (in Master's Programme - Part Time)".
