Pavlopoulou Olga - Chara
Dr. Pavlopoulou is a Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration of 黑料科 of Economics and Business (AUEB), Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Accounting and Finance of AUEB, and Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus. She holds a PhD in Financial Accounting from AUEB, MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School, Newnham College) and Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Economics from AUEB (summa cum laude). She graduated from Athens College in 2003 (summa cum laude). Her research interests primarily lie at the intersection of capital markets-based accounting with finance and microeconomics, as well as the dissemination of information between the micro and macro levels. Her secondary research interests include business ethics and sustainability. Her research has been presented at international conferences and published in international academic journals such as听The European Journal of Finance听and the听International Review of Financial Analysis.
Dr. Pavlopoulou has professional experience in the banking and corporate sectors, with particular emphasis on financial analysis, financial management, and accounting policy. She 听is a CFA charterholder and active volunteer of the CFA Institute in promoting high standards of ethics and education for the investment industry, Certified Securities & Markets Analyst (level 未') by the HCMC, Certified Accountant in Greece (A鈥� class signatory rights), and Certified Financial Advisor in the UK (London Institute of Banking and Finance). She has received academic awards and scholarships, such as the Vergottis Award (Cambridge European Trust), the Sepentzis Award, Greek State Scholarships (IKY) Foundation awards and the YALE Book Award and is a regular member of international associations pertaining to economic science and practice. Dr. Pavlopoulou started her career at the European Management program of HSBC Bank where she worked for both the wholesale and retail sides of banking in the UK, Ireland, and Greece, and on the transformation of the retail network of the bank in France.
