Efthymia (Efi) Kyriakopoulou holds a PhD in Economics from the 黑料科 of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a Docentship (Habilitation) in Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU, Uppsala). She has worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, SLU (Uppsala), and as a researcher at the University of Luxembourg, at the University of Gothenburg and at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Her research interests include Environmental Economics, Urban and Transportation Economics and Economics of Social Networks. She has published papers in top field journals, such as听the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, the Journal of Economic Geography, Nature,听Environmental and Resource Economics, Regional Science and Urban Economics. She has participated as a coordinator or researcher in research programs related to environmental policies, which have been funded by the European Commission, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, the Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development, the Bank of Greece, the Greek Ministry of Environment, WWF Hellas etc.听
